ANGLING CLUB

Whether you are a competitive angler or a social angler, or your goal is to compete in competitions

or just social events our club offers an easy way to achieve your goals.

Getting started is easier than you think, and with the Worth It Angling Club you can be sure that your registration fee will be used for the development of sports for children in need.

You may ask why a foundation will start an Angling club?

Well, the answer is simple.

TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

By becoming a registered angler and participant, your registration fee will play a direct role in

helping underprivileged children to access sports programs. These initiatives not only encourage

physical activity but also provide children with valuable life skills, improve their self-esteem, and

promote teamwork and discipline.

WHAT IS THE MOTIVATION BEHIND OUR CLUB
  • To establish Angling Clubs for the general public that focus on helping us to make a difference in our community and growing the base of active, healthy, happy and fearless anglers in the country.


  • To create a family-based experience that is not threatening or intimidating to social anglers who are interested in competing, socializing or simply enjoying a healthy lifestyle and improve their sporting ability.


  • To make a difference in a child’s life.

Many children in need lack access to extracurricular activities, especially sports, which can have long-lasting benefits for both their physical and mental health.

By contributing to this cause, you're giving children a chance to thrive, both on and off the field. It's never too late to become part of our team.

YOU WILL BE PART OF A CLUB THAT:
  • provides members and visitors with regular angling activities where they can enjoy and improve their sport and socialize;
  • participates in national and provincial angling association events;
  • encourages, motivates and trains young upcoming anglers from all walks of life;
  • gives you access to the national Worth It Foundation’s website and Whatsapp group that has useful angling information, up-to-date reports and announcements of angling events, as well as club information and newsletters;
  • enables you to associate with happy, healthy and fearless like-minded people on a regular basis and a chance to make a difference;
  • provides a platform where you can ask expert and personal advice and obtain information from the Worth It Team and experienced angling legends;
  • and organised social functions throughout the year.
HOW YOUR CONTRIBUTION HELPS
  • Access to Sports Equipment: Your fee will go towards providing the necessary equipment for children to engage in a variety of sports.


  • Coaching and Training: Funding will also be used to hire qualified coaches who can teach children new skills, improve their athletic abilities, and help them build confidence.


  • Building Stronger Communities: Sports programs create a sense of belonging and community, fostering positive relationships and teamwork among children from different backgrounds.


  • Supporting Emotional Well-Being: Sport is an excellent way for children to release stress, build resilience, and develop a sense of achievement.

Club fees :

Membership Age Fee

Senior 20-59 - R750

Master 60-79 - R750

Junior 19 and younger - R350

Social member not registered - R250

Your registration fee includes the SAVOF number and registration fee for the year.

Club Attire

You will need to wear the full WIF club attire if you are a full member and participate in competitions.

Top: WIF branded short sleave T-shirt/ long sleeve shirt or tracksuit top

Bottoms: Navy shorts

You will be notified when the 2025 SAVOF numbers and club attire are available for collection.

MEET OUR CHAIRMAN

We aim to open clubs throughout the country and our clubs will be open to anglers of all abilities and ages.

Under the expert management of Andries Bruwer the Worth It Foundation Angling club will grow its membership base from Gauteng to all the provinces in the country.

Our club provides an easily accessible platform for like minded people to get together and pursue a fearless, happy and healthy lifestyle.
